Plans and credits
Where to manage it
Section titled “Where to manage it”| For | Go to |
|---|---|
| Your personal plan | Portal → Settings → Billing |
| An organisation’s plan | Switch to the organisation, then Organisation settings → Billing |
By voice: “What plan am I on?”, “How many credits do I have left?”, “When do my credits reset?”, “Open my billing page.”
Credits
Section titled “Credits”Credits are Kyra’s usage unit. Talking to Kyra spends them — roughly one per minute of voice — and so does the AI work behind notes, organisation, and research tasks. Reading, editing, sharing, and publishing do not.
Your billing page shows the balance, what came from your plan versus what you bought, what you have used this period, and recent activity. Kyra warns you when the balance drops below a fifth of your monthly allowance.
Two kinds, spent in this order:
| Plan credits | Top-up credits | |
|---|---|---|
| Refresh | Monthly | Never — bought once |
| Roll over | No | Yes, they do not expire |
| Spent | First | After plan credits run out |
Plan credits not rolling over is worth internalising: an unused month is not banked. If you consistently finish the month with a large surplus, you are on too big a plan.
The plans
Section titled “The plans”Personal — Free, Personal, Pro.
| Gets you | |
|---|---|
| Free | Trying Kyra out |
| Personal | Cloud notebooks and everyday voice use |
| Pro | Considerably more monthly credits, more storage, and publishing |
Organisations — Team and Enterprise. Priced per seat, with a shared credit pool, shared notebooks, security groups, and admin controls. Enterprise is negotiated. Organisations →
Trials
Section titled “Trials”New paid subscriptions start with a 14-day trial through Stripe. A card is required, but nothing is charged until the trial ends.
During a trial the billing page may offer Start paid plan now. Use it only if you want billing to begin immediately.
Cancel before the trial ends and the first period is not charged. Stripe’s confirmation screen shows the exact trial end and what cancelling does before you confirm it.
Changing or cancelling
Section titled “Changing or cancelling”Changes go through Stripe from your billing page. Stripe shows the new plan, any immediate charge or credit, and the effective date before you confirm.
| Change | Usually |
|---|---|
| Cancel a trial | The paid plan never starts |
| Cancel a paid plan | Access continues to the end of the paid period, then reverts |
| Upgrade, or add seats | Takes effect immediately, prorated |
| Downgrade, or remove seats | Takes effect at the end of the current period |
| Monthly → annual | Starts immediately, prorated |
| Annual → monthly | Deferred to the end of the annual period |
Top-ups
Section titled “Top-ups”Paid plans can buy one-time credit packs from the billing page. Pack sizes and rates are shown before checkout. Top-up credits never expire.
Free accounts cannot buy top-ups — subscribe first.
Invoices and payment methods
Section titled “Invoices and payment methods”If your account has Stripe billing set up, the billing page offers Manage in Stripe. Use it for invoices and receipts, payment methods, billing details, and cancelling or changing an existing subscription.
New subscriptions and top-ups use Stripe Checkout. Cancelling checkout charges nothing.
Personal and organisation billing are separate
Section titled “Personal and organisation billing are separate”Credits never move between them.
| Working in | Spends | Managed at |
|---|---|---|
| Your personal workspace | Your personal balance | Settings → Billing |
| An organisation workspace | The organisation’s pool | Organisation settings → Billing |
Being on a team plan does not give your personal workspace credits, and vice versa. If credits are disappearing faster than expected, check which workspace you have been working in.
Keeping usage down
Section titled “Keeping usage down”- Type the short things. Text does not spend voice minutes.
- End sessions you are finished with. A session left open is a session running.
- Batch it. One conversation that covers four things costs less than four conversations.
- Reading and editing are free. All the portal work — notes, history, sharing, publishing — costs nothing.
