The mobile app
The app is Kyra you talk to. It is deliberately small: an orb, three controls, and a menu. Everything else in the product is reachable, but nothing is in your way when all you want is to say something before you forget it.

The home screen
Section titled “The home screen”The orb in the middle is Kyra. Tap it to start talking.
Three controls along the bottom:
| Control | Opens |
|---|---|
| Keyboard | Typing, when speaking is not an option |
| Orb | A voice session |
| Queue | Background work and recent results |
Left alone, the orb rests — and occasionally stirs, showing Dreaming. It is decorative and entirely on your device. Ask her what she was dreaming about.
The live session
Section titled “The live session”While a session is running, the orb stays centred and shows what is happening: listening, thinking, or speaking. Transcript lines appear above it, confirmations and actions below.
End session stops it. If nothing plays, tap the orb — phones often need a deliberate tap before they will play audio.
The menu
Section titled “The menu”The hamburger menu holds everything that is not the conversation.
| Screen | For |
|---|---|
| History | Past sessions and their transcripts |
| Memory | What Kyra remembers, with the ability to delete |
| Notes | Your notebooks — browse, read, and edit |
| Shared with me | Notes and notebooks other people shared |
| Queue | Background work: running, waiting on you, finished |
| Coding sessions | The sessions on your machine, if computer control is on |
Screens worth knowing
Section titled “Screens worth knowing”Browse your notebooks, read notes, and edit them on the phone. Good for a quick fix or reading something back. For real writing, the portal editor is the better tool.
Everything Kyra is doing for you, and everything it has finished. This is where a task that needs you surfaces, and where results land. Background work →
Memory
Section titled “Memory”What Kyra remembers, on the phone. Read it and delete individual items. More →
Coding sessions
Section titled “Coding sessions”The Claude Code and Codex sessions running on your machine — what is working, what is blocked, what is done. Mostly you drive these by voice; this screen is for when you want to look. Coding agents →
Knowledge graph
Section titled “Knowledge graph”Your notes and the connections between them, as a graph. Tap a node to open a note, search to focus one, zoom out for the shape of it. Drive it by voice: “show me the graph”, “focus the launch note”.
This screen is app-only — the portal has no equivalent — and is rolling out gradually.
Settings
Section titled “Settings”Settings from the menu. The app carries the settings that are about this device and this conversation; the portal carries all of them. Every setting →
| Setting | Does |
|---|---|
| Voice → Push-to-talk | Hold to talk instead of leaving the microphone open |
| Language | The language Kyra speaks, and the language the app displays |
| Workspace | Personal or an organisation |
| Notes destination | Which notebook voice capture writes into |
| Memory | Whether Kyra stores memories at all |
| Billing | Plan, credits, and when they reset |
| Account | Sign-in methods and signing out |
Notifications
Section titled “Notifications”Turn them on. Without them you have to ask whether background work has finished, which rather defeats the point of background work.
Approvals on the phone
Section titled “Approvals on the phone”When Kyra needs a decision it asks by voice and shows it on screen. You can also find anything waiting in the Queue, or ask “what needs approval?”. More →
Device features
Section titled “Device features”With your permission, Kyra reaches your calendar, reminders, contacts, phone, clipboard, and media apps. These are on-device — read and written in the moment, not uploaded.
They are also the reason the app can do things the portal cannot: “what’s my next meeting?”, “remind me to call Mark after lunch”, “call Sarah”.
In the car
Section titled “In the car”Call the Kyra number and you get the same agent over an ordinary voice call — no dashboard integration needed, and no phone to hold. Kyra switches to its strictest register and sends anything you would need to read to your phone instead. More →
Connection
Section titled “Connection”The app shows a status bar when the connection drops, and reconnects on its own. In the car it says so out loud, since you cannot see a status bar.
